Discharge Day

They seemed to have forgotten me this morning. No one came to bring in my breakfast and after having taken my morning walk down the hall, I see that everyone else has eaten, except me. Perhaps they were letting me sleep this morning and didn’t want to disturb me?

Luckily my stomach isn’t growling too much.

Today is my discharge day, so I guess I am leaving around 11:00am. I’ve already packed most of my room up in anticipation of leaving.

I’m feeling much better today but my abdomen really hurts when the percoset wears off. My last dose was at 5:00am and it’s still working. Thank god.

They gave me this silly plastic device to test my lungs with, but they told me to breathe INTO it, not to suck on it. So the first two days I couldn’t budge it. I exhaled and exhaled and nothing. It wouldn’t budge. I finally figured out today that they gave me the reverse directions. Oy!

I'm very glad that the surgeon sounds like she not only listened to your concerns but followed up by checking everything very carefully. I'm sorry that they confirmed that the tubes were to diseased, but I'm also very hopeful about how thourough she was.

Take care of yourself and enjoy some bad daytime TV.

And for someone hopped up on pain medicine, you right some very lucid posts!

SO relieved that you are home again. I've been worried about you-- apparently my blog tracking tool did not pick up any of your updates until tonight- argh!

I am bummed to hear about your tubes. I know we both had hoped you could keep them. At least all the problematic stuff is cleaned out now.

Please take it easy and I hope that the drugs are very, very good to you! Let me know if you need/want anything. I do house calls. ;)

Linda, I am just catching up with you. I hope the removal of the tubes, fibroids and endo will mean a smooth, positive result for you both next time. Safe travels and good healing.

I am sorry about the tube removal. I hope that you are healing well.
It is good to hear they have been hooking you up with some good drugs. If nothing else, a free buzz is in order!

It's weird. I kept checking in on you to see how the surgery went. But your site wasn't showing any updates until this morning. Anyway, I can't believe the damage was worse than they thought, but hopefully now with the toxicity gone, you'll be able to acheive a healthy pregnancy.

Hope you are relaxing at home - fully medicated! :)

I also didn't get any updates until today -- didn't want you to think we were ignoring you. I'm glad you are home but saddened to know the damage was worse than they thought. I guess the only way to know is to go inside and look and doctors seem reluctant to do that. Rest, rest and rest some more.
